Emergency Medical Services Curriculum

Share the Health Cambodia’s 2021-2023 mission is to provide Kampong Thom with a MAT (Medical Assistant Trained) program that can act as the foundation for emergency medical services training programs in the future. Our program will allow local Cambodian business leaders, teacher, and students to feel empowered to act quickly and confidently to provide prehospital emergency care throughout the province. With the help of our new partners Camsafe, we will work to improve EMS infrastructure such as GPS mapping, inter-facility communication, and dispatching, promoting decreases in traffic fatalities and increase in emergency care access.

Share the Health Cambodia has also partnered with People Improvement Project (PIO), University of Puthisastra Medical school, Bileg orphanage/hospital, and Barary-Santouk hospital to provide both an instructor curriculum and a basic emergency care curriculum that will be provided to students, teacher, healthcare workers, and community leaders not just in Phnom Penh, but also in Kampong Thmar village.
